We had a successful time at Aston le Walls with four lovely horses.
Friday Rich Mistique K in the Novice, she did a beautiful test 29, one pole and then after starting well she twisted her shoe and wasn’t right so I had to retire her … very frustrating.
Sunday Rachel Telfer’s How Bazaar started the morning with a lovely dressage for 30, two unlucky rails in the treble just touching them, otherwise jumping really well. He flew round the cross country clear to finish 10th. Audrey Johnson’s Dick O Malley did a good test for 33, jumped a cracking round in the SJ and clear cross country after being held at fence 2, I had no stopwatch so I just went for a nice clear to come away with an exciting WIN!
Our boy Renaissance Man did a slightly naughty test with a huge leap in the middle of the medium canter, but jumped brilliantly for 4 faults, he had a lovely trip round the xc just another educational slower round as he is only 7 and still learning. Very clever boys!!
