What an amazing weekend at Chatsworth.
Friday started with two 5yos Ramonda and Codebreaker contesting the BYEH in the main ring. It was the biggest atmophere they would have experienced to date. Both horses made me proud to jump beautiful clears over a big track and didn’t put a foot wrong. Cody ended up in 6th position, and Ramonda just slipped out the top 10 in 11th position.
4yo De Pleasure did amazingly well… this was his first show EVER! His natural ability and temperament stood out and I couldn’t be more excited about him. He finished in 8th place.
Oakbank Ultimate Illusion had a difficult draw in the CCI2*S dressage with the huge amounts of rain, unfortunately we took the difficult decision to W\D him from the jumping to save him for later aims, as we felt that he had nothing to prove.
Priorspark Opposition Free had an exciting call up for the EVENT RIDER MASTERS – the only leg in this country held at Chatsworth. He did a beautiful dressage, a few poles over a difficult SJ track, and he really dug deep on the XC and flew up the leaderboard to finish in 11th place. Very pleased for his owners, and so excited to be a part of such a brilliant class… thank you to the ERM team for including me in this leg… perhaps we can make it to a few more!
