The horses were on good form towards the end of the season, and showed a lot of potential for the future.
Cornbury is always a favourite event, we had Idonna, Isalottie both 8yo mares, and 6yo Kadans in the 2*.

The mares both finished very well in their intermediates Isalottie finishing 3rd, and Idonna 13th with a slower round XC, it was amazing to feel their confidence brimming after a few runs at that level, as Cornbury always asks a few more questions, and the terrain is very educational.

NEXGEN FINAL
Maya Nicholson’s Magical Touch finished 3rd in the 4yo final at Hickstead after a beautiful performance, we were so pleased with this talented mare as she had not long been with us. Macgyver also jumped beautifully to contest the 4yo class. Kadans jumped double clear, De Pleasure finished 5th in the 6yo final, and Codebreaker finished 6th in the 7yo final. We like supporting this series, as it is a very educational experience for the horses, they come away at the end of the season feeling like they have improved and taken on a lot of new skills.

OSBERTON YOUNG HORSE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Kashmir Syndicate’s Kadans 5th
Susie Brankin Frisby, Heather Sandell’s De Pleasure 4th
Both of these lovely 6yos have developed hugely throughout the season and this result was a culmination of all of their education coming together, they are both lovely talented horses for the future!

Codebreaker had been selected for Le Lion World Championships on the strength of his win at Wellington International 3*so we were looking forward to the competition – unfortunately after a strong start in the dressage he had an uncharacteristic run out coming out of the water where he just never picked up the fence due to the crowds, and although I carried on for a few more fences we later retired on the course – I felt that he perhaps hadn’t had the necessary experience with the people to deliver a strong enough performance at 3*long level. However he will have learnt a lot for the future and I am so excited about next season with him!
